Carolyn was nominated by the religious service department at the Alderson West Virginia Federal Prison Camp and selected out of hundreds of nominees as the recipient of the 2002 Department of Justice Attorney General's "National Citizens Volunteer" Award and the Federal Bureau of Prisons "Volunteer of the Year" award in honor of her 21 years of volunteer service. The awards were presented to her at a special ceremony at the Department of Justice on July 31 by former Attorney General John Ashcroft and former Bureau of Prisons director, Kathleen Hawk-Sawyer.
Carolyn Williams is the founder and president of Disciples Fellowship Int'l which was established in 1981 in West Virginia. Carolyn and her husband John Daniels minister together in prisons throughout the United States. Carolyn has also ministered to inmates in Bogota, Columbia, South America. They are credentialed by the Cleveland, Tennessee United Christian Church and are certified Community
Service Chaplains with the Church of God.
John Daniels is the President of Resurrection Riders WV.
